Raimi Design's founders and principals, Ricardo Guajardo and
Jacqueline Unanue, are both designers and visual artists who have been working in the arts for more than 20 years.
They received their university degrees in graphic design in Chile,
their native country. There, they established their own printing and
design studio. They specialized in graphic design, printmaking and limited edition books; also in painting, fiber art and textile designs for apparel. Among different influences they were inspired by Pre-Columbian art, especially the prehistoric rock art found in their country.
Guajardo's designs won several awards. Unanue's paintings and fiber works were widely exhibited in Chile, where she won the Valparaiso Art Critics Association Award. She has since had exhibitions in Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, Finland, and the United States-in galleries in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York.
In 2000, the couple settled in the United States, where they have continued their work in the fine arts and design. Their current design collection evidences their many talents, experience and interests, including European trends, the result of collaborations they have developed with design studios in Barcelona.
Their work can be seen by appointment at their Philadelphia studio.
They are also happy to make a presentation at your business office.
